A Perfect BBQ Feast at Chris and Gemma’s Old Court Wedding

BBQ Wedding Catering – A Feast to Remember.

A wedding is more than just a celebration—it’s the little details that make it truly unforgettable. At Table, our aim is always to create food that not only tastes great but complements the occasion perfectly. So, when Chris and Gemma asked us to cater their wedding at the beautiful Old Court Wedding Company, we were thrilled to be a part of their special day.

Nestled along the serene shores of Strangford Lough, Old Court is a venue that feels like something out of a storybook. With its restored 17th-century church, charming stables and yurt-inspired banquet hall, it offers an enchanting setting for any couple’s big day. Add in the private harbour, boathouse and stunning gardens, and you’ve got the perfect backdrop for a wedding that blends history and natural beauty.

Chris and Gemma’s Wedding at Old Court Wedding Company

For Chris and Gemma’s wedding, we catered for around 100 guests, serving our signature BBQ Buffet Feast and Grazing Cups. With their relaxed, informal atmosphere in mind, we created a menu that encouraged mingling and conversation. The BBQ wedding catering featured grilled meats, vibrant salads and plenty of tasty sides, all designed to be enjoyed buffet-style.

The Grazing Cups—a selection of bite-sized nibbles—were a hit during the reception. These beautifully presented mini platters allowed guests to pick and choose while they enjoyed the stunning views across Strangford Lough. It was a perfect balance between keeping things laid-back and offering food that was truly memorable.

The Magic of Old Court Wedding Company

The Old Court Wedding Company is a venue that lets couples put their personal stamp on every detail. Chris and Gemma made use of this, arriving the day before to set up decorations and make sure everything was ready. By the time their wedding day arrived, all was set, allowing them to enjoy their day without a worry in the world.

Having catered at Old Court several times, we know the venue well. For this wedding, our team not only provided the food but also acted as Event Managers, setting up the tables and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. The estate’s exclusive use policy meant that the entire space was theirs to enjoy and our team worked closely with them to ensure the catering was in perfect harmony with the day’s events.

Adding Another Chapter at Old Court

It was a real pleasure to be part of Chris and Gemma’s wedding, and to contribute to such a special day at Old Court Wedding Company. The combination of the venue’s stunning location and our carefully prepared BBQ wedding catering created a memorable experience for everyone. We take pride in making sure the food at every wedding we cater is as unique as the day itself and Chris and Gemma’s wedding was no exception.

Whether you’re planning a Strangford Lough wedding or a celebration in another picturesque setting, we’d love to help you create the perfect menu for your day. At Table, we believe that great food is an essential part of making your wedding truly special.
